P a i n t i n g s

My paintings are free-spirited, experimental, abstract compositions created with acrylic paint, at times mixed with a variety of other materials to help create textural richness and visual interest. Although I also like to explore creating images on different types of surfaces, I typically use archival quality canvases and papers in large and small formats. 

 

Sometimes I plan what I am going to paint and sometimes I do not. Regardless of the approach I always end up going with the moment, wherever my feelings and the materials take me. As many artists do, I find it thrilling to see how accidental behavior of media develops into interesting effects. And I know the piece is not finished until I feel a special connection and satisfaction with what I see.
